Art: Lewis and Hathaway

Cover art for xfdryad's fic 'Kiss and Music'
Fandom: Lewis
Rating and category: G, gen

This is something I drew for the smallfandombang. It's a cover for a very cool fic written by Dryad, with otherwordly elements and (something I love) a lot of music.

You can find the fic here on AO3.

(So, I'm kind of new both to fanart and to digitilising art. I don't suppose anyone out there has experience with scanning pencil or charcoal art, and has tips on how to clean up the background smudges I always seem to get? Preferably with Gimp, but tips for any other free software would be very welcome too!)

Christmas exchanges

Here are the gifts I received in different exchanges this Christmas, all of them definitely worth a look. I always seem to be very lucky in exchanges, actually - I've never got a gift I haven't loved.

An Evening at Home by shadowycat, Snape/Lupin
Gorgeous domestic scene, and I think she perfectly captures the characters as they're described in the books. (It's SFW.)

Six Days to Christmas by dracofiend, Lewis/Hathaway
This was not only exactly the sort of story I love, but really excellent in its own right too, and with a perfect not-quite-happy ending.

After the Wells by elstaplador, Sadler's Wells, Veronica/Sebastian
I'm not sure whether anyone will even be familiar with this rather obscure series of books (in fact, I believe they're out of print). I'm reccing this anyway on the off chance, and because it was absolutely amazing. I felt like I was reading one of the original books.
